Review: Best Tourist Cards in Athens
Athens has only three tourist passes to choose from, namely the popular Athens Pass, the Athens City Turbopass and the combo ticket of the Acropolis with 6 archaeological sites. The advantage of both tourist cards is that they are really worth it and you have to decide whether or not you want to visit the Acropolis Museum. Your options:
1) Highly recommended: Athens Pass
In my opinion, this is the most complete and best tourist card for a city trip to Athens is the Athens City Pass. With one purchase you have the most important tickets. And even better; you get all tickets online. When you visit a number of archaeological areas, you will soon have earned this ticket back, because buying individual tickets is quite expensive (e.g. Acropolis € 20, Ancient Agora € 10, Temple of Zeus € 8 and Kerameikos € 8), making this city pass is absolutely recommended if you are going to do even a little bit of culture. Book your Athens Pass easily via this link. During the booking process you can reserve your desired date. After payment, you will receive your tickets by email or you can show them via smartphone.

This combo-ticket is the smaller version of the Athens City Pass above. This combo-ticket does give you access to the 7 archaeological areas including the Acropolis, but this ticket does not include both the Acropolis Museum and the audio guide app. The ticket is very affordable, because you have probably already earned it back after 3 sights (if you would buy individual tickets you would have already paid 64 euros). The Athens City Turbopass is the most comprehensive city pass for Athens. The Athens City Turbopass is valid for 1 to 6 days and gives you access to various museums and attractions. This new tourist card is especially interesting if you stay for a several days in Athens.
The Athens City Turbopass includes the following attractions:
